Great first impressions of my steadicam smoothee (Taken with instagram)
One Friday morning we had an hour to film our mates who had just built themselves a ski bike. The Chill Factore (a.k.a. the Manchester Alps) were very kindly letting us test the bike out on their slopes before the centre opened. We didn’t have long to film but we made use of unusual angles and lots of gadgetry. We filmed using a Panasonic GH2 & GoPro HERO’s 1 & 2.
About the bike: The idea was to make a mountain bike into something capable of sliding down pistes, and snow covered hills, in such a way that the bike could turn back into a bike, and also ideally the result should not be catastrophic failure, injury to rider or other snow users etc. It was a big success and a lot of fun.
We set ourselves a new goal to build a smooth, lightweight cable cam that is small enough to fit in your day pack and able to accomodate a GoPro HERO or similar action camera.
Pancake Day is just around the corner (tomorrow in fact) so if you’re in need of a little inspiration watch this video I filmed with my mum. It’s yum.
The motley crew who bring you the Howies Dyfi Enduro created a brand new event for 2011 in the UK’s most famous mountain biking forest - Coed Y Brenin.

Epic Mountain time-lapse. Inspirational stuff.
Have I ever mentioned that I went to India last summer? Here’s my final video including stuff I filmed for the Raleigh expedition and family hols. A little bit experimental using split screen stuff.
Back from my Raleigh India adventure and here’s one of the little videos I made.
Another mtb video following my boyfriend around on his mountain bike at Wharncliffe Woods. It was filmed on my GH1. I also took along my glidetrack. Small colour alterations made using Magic Bullet Looks.
I liked the aesthetics of video with DSLR’s so I recently dug deep into my pockets and purchased a Panasonic GH1. This is my first practice.
The video follows my boyfriend mountain biking at Lee Quarry. I also took along my glidetrack.

How much fun! Need to ge me a GoPro HD camera!
I’ve been reminiscing a little recently, looking through old photos, and decided I wanted to make a little reminder of our 2004-05 serious fun road trip adventure. I had so many photos sitting on our hard drive I just decided to stitch them all together in chronological order to create a little video of our 9 month trip in 6.30 minutes.
After 2 years of living, loving, climbing, surfing, boarding and spending summer 2003 slack lining in the local park in London, Patrick and I hatched a plan to bunk off work for 9 months in search of a stress free lifestyle. The plan: 1) spend the snow season in Fernie, Canada, relishing the powder days 2) stock up for a trip surfing down the Baja Peninsular 3) surviving Baja, tackle the best climbing America had to offer. It didn’t all go to plan but it was great fun.

A photomotion video…
Back from a 17 day Canadian Adventure paddling & camping in Algonquin Park. It was most definately more of an endurance test than either of us had expected but very rewarding. In brief we saw 4 moose, got bitten by enormous mosquitos, ate too much sausage, completed 27 portages, stayed 3 nights in “a scary death cabin”, saw bear and wolf prints, caught fish and toasted 3 bags of marshmellows!
The footage is a combination of photographs and video. All taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3.
